Welcome to 5Willows Photography - based in Jindabyne and servicing the Snowy Mountains region.
Our aim is simple - to give you the best photography experience you've ever had. All of our work is 100% guaranteed.

Photographs are the trigger for memories.
Family portraits are often our most prized, priceless, possessions.
Working with natural light and beautiful surroundings, we know how to pose people appropriately for their age, and together as a family to show the connections and relationships that only come from family.
Our whole approach is designed to give you the best photography experience you’ve ever had.
Creative portrait photography is all about turning an idea or a dream into an image. We take more time to delve into costume, hair and make-up, set and lighting design to build the images you’re looking for.
This type of photography can be for a modelling portfolio, or as a gift to celebrate someone you love, or maybe for a clothing brand or shop to display their products in a more glamorous or stylised way.
Creative portraiture can also be a lot of fun and playful, with multiple images being used to create a single composite image, such as Emily in her Donkey onesie.
The creative portrait approach is designed to be collaborative and push the boundaries.
Congratulations! If you’re looking at this page then either you’ve just got engaged, or you know someone who has.
My style of wedding photography is relatively candid and unobtrusive, capturing the day as it unfolds, while getting more creative with the bridal party later in the day.
Packages can be tailored to any wedding size and most budgets. I have two examples prepared at the end of this gallery, and on the pricing page. I’m always happy to talk through specific requests and can customise the coverage to suit your needs.
From the classic white background headshot, to a headshot tailored to a non-corporate profession or business, we can create the right profile image for you and your business.
Consistency is key for businesses with multiple team members. For the entrepreneur we can be more creative.
While people are often the most valuable assets of a business, the products and how they are presented can also be key. So from a make-up artist ensuring the colour balance is spot on, to clothing manufacturers, or toy shops – trust in my collaborative approach and professional expertise to build the business brand your business deserves.
If every element of your business identity isn’t quite giving the right message, let’s talk about improving it.
Real estate photography isn’t just for buying and selling property, but holiday rentals and permanent rentals too. Good real estate photography makes an enormous difference to the the ultimate market value of your property or it’s occupancy rate by generating higher levels of interest in your property.
This includes presenting the rooms well and photographing from the right angles, but also the exterior of the property and the land too – promoting the lifestyle the property can accommodate, and the holiday experiences your guests can enjoy at your property.
We continue to work throughout the Snowy Mountains region with Nick Kershner Property & Livestock, KFN Real Estate, Ray White and Air BnB from small holiday rentals to rural properties of many thousand acres.
Calling all property owners – if your website, facebook page, brochures, or other marketing materials could be better, please get in touch. Let me help you make more money.
As a Jindabyne local and with our own 3 children attending school in the area, we are very proud to be appointed as the School Photographer for many of the schools in the Snowy Mountains region.
My approach to School Photography is very simple - high quality work, with good lighting, fun for the students, and photographs that are professionally printed and well presented. Having fun with the children is key for everyone involved. I also believe in giving local families a fair range of choices in terms of packages the product range.
New for 2020 - the option to buy key rings and fridge magnets. If you order a package with new larger print sizes, they will also be delivered in a professional mount, ready to frame or display as is.
Covid-19 update - unfortunately some of the local schools have had to postpone their photography due to the health concerns regarding the virus. We are ready and looking forward to visit these schools as soon as the regulations allow.
Sibling photos - we always try and have fun
Sample individual photos - pre-school, primary school, and high school.
I am happy to train you in the way that best suits you.
1. "Get more from your DSLR" Course is a written course comprising six modules which contains detailed reference materials, practical exercises, and assignments to bring each module together. This course can be studied at your own pace, and can even be split into a Beginner section (Modules 1,2) and a more Creative section (Modules 3-6).
2. One on one training - this could be in relation to some hints and tips about an upcoming assignment or job you might have, or review/critique some personal photographs that just aren't quite coming out as you'd like. Or I'd be happy to work with you on an individual basis practically on a shoot to help you get the right results.
3. Group activities - whether practical workshops, or lecture style presentations, please get in touch to chat through what I've been involved with in the past and how your ideas can come to fruition.
As a member of the AIPP, we are an open Profession and see value and benefit in assisting all keen photographers where we can, and educate the general population about the work we do and the way we do it - so that you understand why it makes sense to engage with an Accredited Professional.

I am a member of the AIPP for two primary reasons:
1. For YOUR benefit - by trusting an Accredited Professional Photographer, such as myself, you have more information about the consistent quality of our work, the ethics of our business practices, and you have a fully-recognised Professional Body to get in contact with if there are any issues. This is your safety net.
2. For MY benefit - being a member of the AIPP gives me access to a proud network of Professionals across the country, and beyond, plus a supportive Professional Body that pushes CPD year on year.
Please read this article from the AIPP website which explains why it is important to trust the Professionals.
I believe in being open and honest and consistent about pricing. I don't believe that any one person/family should pay more or less than others for the same service.
Having said that, not every photography piece can be priced in the same way, so I am always happy to customise a quote for you.
Family portraiture - this is split into two elements. Firstly, a nominal fee of $100 for the session itself. Then, when the images are ready to review (a few days), we can really focus on your favourites and how best to present them.
Weddings - pricing for weddings is generally a package, although there are options to customise. We can always work out a combination to suit any budget.
Commercial/other - pricing is more varied here, and could be a combination of time, equipment, quantity of images and their complexity. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
